Heart Health “For our people, By our people”

In June 2009, DYHS in conjunction with The Heart Foundation implemented the heart health program, “For our People, By our People”.

Marmun Pit Stop

In 2004, DYHS adopted an initiative specifically targeted at men; the Marmun Pit Stop.

Stolen Generation - Bringing them Home

The Stolen Generation program provides a comprehensive service to improve the social and emotional well-being of Aboriginal people in the Perth metropolitan region.

Maternal and Child Health Program

This program aims to improve health of women during and after pregnancy and also young children especially aged 0-5 years

Home and Community Care Program

Derbarl Yerrigan's Home and Community Care (HACC) program aims to provide a comprehensive, coordinated and integrated culturally appropriate service to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander frail aged people and young people with a disability with in the Perth Metropolitan area.

East Perth Clinic

East Perth Centre The East Perth site is a community orientated service with a commitment to delivering the best possible service to clients. The East Perth site is the largest of the three GP clinics and therefore offers services to people from a wide area of the Perth metropolitan area. The clinic services almost twice as many clients as either Maddington or Mirrabooka.

In addition to the GP Clinic, the Dental, Ear Health, Eye Health, Physiotherapy and Podiatry services are based in East Perth.

The building was purpose built in 1998 and is situated amongst beautifully landscaped grounds with additional facilities such as the children’s playground and Bar-B-Q. An upgrade of landscaping, parking and signage was completed in 2005.
